After the woman lost her husband to cancer, her in-laws decided to continue treating her as their own daughter and arranged her remarriage so she could move forward with her life.As part of the wedding ceremony, her father-in-law, Dinesh Vairagi, performed her Kanyadaan, a ritual traditionally carried out by the bride’s parents.Speaking to ANI, Dinesh said the family considered it their responsibility to help her start over. Calling her a wonderful daughter-in-law, he said they had accepted her as their daughter and hoped their decision would encourage other families to support the remarriage of widowed women in similar circumstances.

Bride’s father recalls the promise that was kept
Speaking to ANI, the bride’s father, Rambabu Vairagi, said he never imagined his daughter’s in-laws would arrange her remarriage after she lost her husband. He shared that about a year after his son-in-law’s death, Dinesh Vairagi promised to treat her as his own daughter and help her build a new life.According to Rambabu, the family fulfilled that promise by arranging the wedding, performing her Kanyadaan, and supporting her at every step.
