Sharing the happy update, Madhoo said wedding celebrations have taken over the family’s attention, with her daughter fully immersed in preparations for the big day.Speaking to IANS, the actress opened up about her daughters’ career choices and family life, while also reminiscing about how one of her most memorable films unexpectedly led her to her husband. Speaking about her daughter, Madhoo said, “My older one is going to get married soon. So, right now, I am sure she is not thinking of work. She is in the La La land.”
Younger daughter chooses business over acting
Madhoo also spoke about her younger daughter, who once considered pursuing a career in films before deciding that acting wasn’t her true calling. Instead, she has shifted her focus towards business and is currently gaining hands-on experience with her father.Sharing the update, the actress said, “She wanted to follow my footsteps. She wanted to be an actor. She explored a little bit, but she decided that this is not for her. So now she is back into the business world. She is interning with her father. She plans to do other things.”
A marriage that began with ‘Diljale’
During the conversation, Madhoo also reflected on an unexpected twist in her own love story, revealing that one of her films played a key role in bringing her and husband Anand Shah together.Recalling the memorable incident, she shared, “That’s a role that won me my husband. My husband saw this film in Singapore, I believe, and he felt, ‘Who is this girl. She is amazing’. The next thing I know, I am married to this man.”According to the actress, Anand Shah first noticed her after watching ‘Diljale’, and that admiration eventually blossomed into a lifelong relationship.
Family life away from the spotlight
Madhoo married businessman Anand Shah on February 19, 1999. The couple has two daughters, Amaya and Keia. Anand Shah is also the cousin of businessman Jay Mehta, who is married to actress Juhi Chawla. While Madhoo continues to balance her professional commitments, she is now looking forward to celebrating a new chapter as her family gets ready for her elder daughter’s wedding.
