I think PM Modi ji will post another video tonight: CJP's Abhijeet Dipke

CHHATRAPATI SAMBHAJINAGAR: Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday said he expected Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apologise to the girls who were allegedly “brutally beaten up” by male police personnel during the protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on July 20.Reacting to Modi’s video message on Instagram on Friday, in which the prime minister said he wanted to forgive protesters who had allegedly abused him and made remarks against his mother, Dipke said he believed another video message could be posted by Modi on Saturday night.Dipke made the remarks in a video shared on X.“I think Modi ji will upload a new video tonight, so I hope that he will apologise…..he will apologise for the lathi-charge of July 20,” the CJP leader said.Dipke alleged that police personnel assaulted protesting girls, including minors, during the Jantar Mantar protest, claiming that some girls were injured and male officers used batons while handling the protesters.“So I want Modi ji to apologise to all those girls who were beaten up with such brutality in his video tonight,” he added.Earlier on Saturday, Abhijeet Dipke fell ill and was advised rest by a doctor who examined him at his residence in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The doctor said Dipke’s blood pressure was slightly low and that he was suffering from vomiting and loose motions.“Dipke’s blood pressure is slightly low at 100/60 level. He has been feeling uneasy and nauseating since morning because of stress and anxiety. He vomited a couple of times and has been suffering from loose motions.” He has been given intravenous (IV) fluids and suggested to take rest for the day, the doctor told PTI.“He does not have a fever as of now and he will recover if he takes rest,” Dr Lahane said. The protests led by the CJP at Jantar Mantar in Delhi over the NEET paper leak controversy, which received significant support from ‘Gen Z’ across the country, culminated in the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan last week.(With inputs from agency)
