Actress Rukmini Vasanth will play an important role in the upcoming gangster action thriller ‘Toxic’ starring Yash. Recently, the ‘Kantara’ actress shared that ‘Toxic’ is very special to everyone who worked on it. She also spoke about the huge world created for the film.

Rukmini Vasanth talks about ‘Toxic’

As per a report by ANI, the actress talked about the film. She shared that the film’s large scale was something that left her amazed. “Toxic is an incredibly special film for, I think, everyone who’s been a part of it, certainly for me. There’s so many things I could go into. There is the expansiveness of the world that we inhabit. The scale of it, I think, was something that really blew me away the first time I heard about it,” she said.

Melissa’s place in the story

Rukmini Vasanth will be seen playing a character named Melissa in ‘Toxic’. She said she was curious to understand where Melissa would fit into the larger story.The actress wanted to know how her character would connect with the other people in the film and how all their stories would come together.“I was so excited about the journey of discovering how Melissa fit into this world and what the rest of them related to each other like,” she said. “There’s so much of how it all was enmeshed together that I think I was just curious about,” Rukmini added.

She also spoke about getting the chance to work with Yash. She revealed that she was already a fan of the actor before joining the film. “There’s also the matter of being a Yash Sir fan girl and then getting to share screen space. That was also incredible for me,” she said.Directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi in key roles.The film is set to release on August 26, 2026 in multiple languages.
