Superstar Rajinikanth will be next seen in the upcoming much awaited film, ‘Jailer 2’ directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. As the film is set for a grand theatrical release on October 15, the makers have now announced the release date of the first single. Additionally, they shared a new poster featuring the veteran star.
‘Jailer 2’ first single release date
The first song from the film will be released on August 21. The makers shared the update on social media and wrote, “The Feast is ready! Jailer 2 First Single releasing on August 21.”Along with the announcement, the team also shared a new look from the film. Rajinikanth can be seen in the background of a celebration while once again sporting his iconic look as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.

Ahead of the Dussehra release, the makers also unveiled a 55-second promo. The glimpse starts with Vinayakan’s final dialogue from ‘Jailer’.The sequel appears to take the story forward as Muthuvel Pandian faces bigger challenges.The promo also including Suraj Venjaramoodu and Vidya Balan in the video.Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa and Yogi Babu are expected to return in their roles from the first film.The sequel is also expected to feature some major star cameos. Hrithik Roshan, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Vijay Sethupathi are reportedly part of the film in special roles.Star musician Anirudh Ravichander is composing the songs and background score for ‘Jailer 2’.
Rajinikanth’s next films
Speaking of Rajinikanth’s work, after ‘Jailer 2’, Rajinikanth will be seen in ‘Dharman’. The film is being co-produced by Kamal Haasan under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International.The project was initially planned with Sundar C and Cibi Chakaravarthi, but Ashwath Marimuthu is now directing the movie. Simran, Raashi Khanna and Yogi Babu are also part of the cast.Rajinikanth is also set to reunite with Kamal Haasan for the tentatively titled ‘KHxRK’, which will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
