Gurgaon: Days after reorganising MCG into eight administrative zones, MCG on Monday assigned senior sanitation inspectors and experts to oversee sanitation operations across the newly created zones. The officers will supervise sanitation services, monitor field staff and address cleanliness-related complaints in their respective jurisdictions. These officers will handle resident complaints about sanitation in their zones and will also perform duties assigned by the commissioner.As per the orders issued by MCG commissioner Pradeep Dahiya, Harish, a senior sanitary inspector, was assigned zone 1; Pradeep Kumar, sanitation expert, zone 2; Bhupender, sanitary inspector, zone 3; Deepak, sanitation expert, zone 4; Bhupender, sanitation expert, zone 5; Naresh, sanitation expert, zone 6; Devender Bishnoi, expert, zone 7; and Deepak Dagar, sanitary inspector, zone 8.In a parallel administrative reshuffle, the civic body appointed two additional commissioners as heads of the newly created clusters. Additional commissioner Ankita Chaudhary will head cluster 1, while additional commissioner Yash Jaluka will head cluster 2. Additional commissioner Ravinder Yadav was assigned charge of the corporation’s headquarters wing, and joint commissioner Preet Pal Singh will continue to oversee the Swachh Bharat Mission.MCG recently decided to divide the city into eight administrative zones under two clusters, replacing the existing four-zone system that currently governs civic operations across the city.Dahiya said that the objective of the civic body was to provide better, transparent and time-bound services to the citizens. “Through the new cluster and zone system, administrative efficiency will increase, accountability will be ensured, and monitoring of development and sanitation works will become more effective. All officers have been told to work with mutual coordination and live up to the expectations of the citizens,” said Dahiya.According to the order, cluster 1 comprises zones 1 to 4, and cluster 2 includes zones 5 to 8. Under cluster 1, zone 1 comprises Wards 9, 10, 16, 17; zone 2 has Wards 11, 14, 15, 18; zone 3 has Wards 5, 6, 7, 33, 34; and zone 4 has Wards 8, 28, 29, 30, 32. Under cluster 2, zone 5 now has Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 36; zone 6 has Wards 12, 13, 27, 31, 35; zone 7 has Wards 19, 20, 21, 22; and zone 8 has Wards 23, 24, 25, 26.
