Dhanbad: The Ajsu-Party observed its 40th foundation day on Monday as ‘Akrosh Diwas’ by staging a demonstration here against the state govt and the district administration over the alleged imprisonment of several party functionaries in false criminal cases.Party president Sudesh Mahto led the protest march, which was attended by thousands of party workers, which began from Randhir Verma Chowk and culminated at the BCCL Nehru Complex in Saraidhela, where a public meeting was held.Addressing the gathering, Sudesh criticised the action taken by the district administration. He alleged that workers were being targeted through false cases. “The administration’s actions will not be tolerated at any cost. Our workers won’t be intimidated,” he said.He also accused state govt of encouraging administrative excesses to silence opposition and said the party will continue its struggle for the rights and dignity of its workers. Extensive security arrangements were made throughout the rally and public meeting, which concluded peacefully amid enthusiastic participation from party supporters.
