Exclusive - Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2: Sohil Singh on his exit 'Parth had shades'; recalls shooting with Smriti Irani and Sakshi Tanwar

Actor Sohil Singh Jhuti has wrapped up his run as Parth Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, and he’s calling it a ride worth remembering.Speaking about his journey on the show, “It was quite interesting for me,” Sohil says. “When I got Parth, he started off as a very sweet, innocent, family-oriented boy who just wanted to come back to India. But as the story progressed, we realized he wasn’t that innocent. His intentions were something else entirely.”

Essaying the role of Parth

For him, the layers were the hook. “Parth had a lot of different shades, which is fun for me as an actor, because I get to explore different layers within myself.”What’s next. “I’m definitely looking forward to taking on a lead role soon,” he adds. “I feel ready and confident after playing Parth in Kyunki 2.”

The stint also gave him a rare bragging right. “I feel blessed to have shared a storyline with two television divas, Smriti (Tulsi) Ma’am and Sakshi (Parvati) Ma’am. Their reunion in the show happened because of my character’s track, which was a huge opportunity for me.”Parth’s track ended with the character being shot dead, a move that left fans emotional. Sohil is at peace with it. “I think every actor wants more screen time and space to perform, and I’m no different. But here in Kyunki every character gets their own space. Parth’s role was an important one, and I have no complaints.”He liked how it wrapped up. “Once the character turned negative, I feel the writers gave him the best ending they could. I’m really satisfied with everything I got from the show — the screen time, the presence, the arc.”On Fan reaction. “The fans are very sad that my character has been shot dead and they are messaging me on social media like they’re gonna miss me on the show,” he shares. “But they are also very happy with my performance and sending me appreciation notes. And they want to see more of me soon.”Discussing behind the scenes. The show gave him a full palette to play with. “I had an amazing experience shooting for the show. I got to play a full-fledged role with action, negative, and positive shades.”The nostalgia hit too. “The best part was hearing memories from the senior actors and crew about season one. As we recreated the same scene, they talked about shooting the iconic scene where Ansh Gujral was shot by Tulsi. They also shared how shooting was done in the early 2000s compared to now in 2026.”Sohil first caught public attention as a contestant and digital host VJ for Roadies. He later made his acting debut with Kundali Bhagya before landing Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.
