From discussing films as industry colleagues to finding love in movie theatres, actors Ananth Ram’s and Brigida Saga’s relationship has unfolded like a slow-burn romance. Days after Brigida made their relationship official with a romantic birthday post for Ananth online, the couple opens up about how their shared love for cinema and being die-hard Dhanush fans laid the foundation for their relationship.“Although we studied at the same college, she joined the year that I graduated. We would mostly share work-related texts,” begins Ananth. He adds, “We met for the first time at the premiere of my film Nanban Oruvan Vantha Piragu . In many ways, our love story blossomed inside a theatre.”“After that, I invited him to the premiere of my film, Kozhipannai Chelladurai ,” Brigida says. “We didn’t speak much in between, and whenever we did, it was always about cinema. What I immediately noticed was the respect he has for women.”Brigida reveals that Ananth straightaway made a marriage proposal to her. She says, “I’m not into dating, so that (the marriage proposal) impressed me. Ever since I was young, I’ve wondered about the person I’d spend my life with. Today, I feel I’ve found the right life partner.”“I was ready for marriage. I didn’t tell her when to marry or set a deadline. Everything went with the flow,” says Ananth. “Cinema connected us. We are both huge Dhanush fans. After we announced our relationship, people rightfully pointed out that two Dhanush fans have got together.”The couple is now preparing for their engagement. “We’ll be getting engaged this month,” reveals Ananth. “We don’t want to give space for gossip. So, we want to immediately get engaged.”
