Kochi: A 27-year-old man was arrested with synthetic drugs during an inspection conducted as part of Operation Toofan in Kodanad on Friday. The arrested person has been identified as Anandhu, 27, of Vennala. He was arrested from Kavumpuram area by Perumbavoor ASP’s special investigation team and Kodanad police. As much as 0.57g of MDMA was recovered. Police said he was selling drugs by roaming around on a scooter during the night hours. The man used to reside in a rented house in Kavumpuram area. Anandhu tried to escape upon seeing the police, but was caught. In 2019, he was caught by Palakkad excise with one and a half kilograms of ganja. Perumbavoor ASP Hardik Meena and Kodanad Inspector AS Sarin led the investigation team.
