Indore: A large number of LLB second-semester students of Govt Law College have raised concerns over their examination results, alleging irregularities in evaluation of two papers.The students approached Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) during the university’s public hearing on Tuesday seeking a review of their answer sheets. Students said that the results, declared on July 31, showed an unusually high number of ATKT cases in Labour and Industrial Law and Constitution-II. They claimed that several students who secured first-division marks in other subjects were declared unsuccessful in these two papers.According to the students, the pattern of results has raised doubts about the evaluation process. They have sought re-evaluation of answer sheets in both subjects and demanded that the university correct the results if any discrepancy in marking was found.Students from the first year also attended the public hearing, expressing dissatisfaction with their review results. They submitted their grievances to the university administration and sought further examination of their cases.The students said that the issue was particularly concerning as an ATKT in even one paper can affect their academic progression and create delays in completing the course.DAVV examination controller Prof Ashesh Tiwari said that the university had taken note of the students’ complaint regarding evaluation in the two subjects. “We are conducting sampling of the answer sheets. If any error is found during the examination, necessary corrections will be made in the results,” he said.The sampling is expected to help the university determine whether the high number of ATKT cases reflects the students’ performance or points to an issue in evaluation.
