Bhopal: Fast-track courts to hear paper leak and other education and youth employment-related cases will be set up in four cities such as Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur, CM Mohan Yadav announced on Friday. Addressing a public gathering in Panna, Yadav said PM Narendra Modi had announced the establishment of such courts to ensure speedy disposal of cases involving paper leaks, and issues affecting students and job aspirants.He also announced that Panna Medical College would be inaugurated next year, opening more opportunities for NEET aspirants to pursue medical education in the region. During the programme, Yadav transferred nearly Rs 210 crore to more than 35 lakh beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme through the single-click facility.He also presented certificates to beneficiaries of govt schemes and self-reliant gram panchayats. Marking the state’s ‘Krishi Kalyan Varsh’, he was felicitated with a traditional plough.Assures fair compensation for Ken-Betwa ousteesReferring to the Ken-Betwa river linking project, Yadav said the Centre had approved 90% funding for the Rs 1 lakh crore project, which he described as a game changer for Bundelkhand. He assured people whose land, houses or shops are acquired that they would receive fair compensation. Urging farmers not to sell their land, he said Bundelkhand had the potential to surpass Punjab and Haryana as one of the country’s leading agricultural regions.Yadav said in line with the vision of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, work has begun on the Ken-Betwa River linking project. He assured that people whose land, houses or shops are affected by such projects will receive fair compensation. He urged farmers not to consider selling their land, expressing confidence that Bundelkhand would emerge as one of the country’s most productive agricultural regions, surpassing Punjab and Haryana.Employment opportunities for youthYadav, on this occasion, said the state govt has approved nearly 10,000 new posts in the police dept, following the recruitment of 8,000 personnel last year. Overall, more than one lakh govt employment opportunities have been created for youth across Madhya Pradesh. He encouraged farmers to diversify their income through animal husbandry, dairy farming and fisheries. The CM said that milk production currently stands at 12 per cent of the overall milk production. The state govt has set a target to increase it to 20 per cent.Yadav added that tourism and industrial development are also creating employment opportunities, particularly in Bundelkhand.He added that there is no need for separate civil laws for different religious communities in Madhya Pradesh. The UCC will also provide greater legal protection to Muslim women in matters related to divorce, with divorces being processed only through the courts.The CM reiterated that all women are equal for the govt, regardless of their religion, and said this spirit is reflected in the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’, under which eligible women receive Rs 1,500 every month. He said the state govt remains committed to the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth and women, while also providing benefits such as the ‘Kisan Samman Nidhi’ and scholarships for students.
