IIT Delhi has opened admissions for its Applied AI, ML and Decision Science Programme, an eight-month online certification course designed for professionals seeking skills in artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics and decision-making frameworks. The programme, delivered through eVIDYA in association with Emeritus, will commence on September 19, 2026, and conclude on May 15, 2027.Applications for the programme will remain open until September 12, 2026. The course fee is Rs 1,60,000 plus 18 per cent GST. Classes will be conducted online on Saturdays from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. Admissions are currently open for eligible candidates. The programme structure and eligibilityThe programme is open to graduates or diploma holders with a 10+2+3 educational background in any discipline. It also accepts graduates and postgraduates from Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and related fields with a mathematical foundation.According to IIT Delhi, the curriculum follows a dual-pillar model focused on Applied AI and Decision Science. Participants will study Generative AI, Agentic AI, machine learning, forecasting methods, optimisation techniques and decision intelligence systems. Learning will combine theory, practical applications and project-based work.
Coverage across AI and machine learningThe curriculum begins with AI-ready data ecosystems, data visualisation and responsible AI principles covering fairness, transparency, accountability and ethics. Subsequent modules include supervised and unsupervised machine learning, regression, feature engineering, neural networks, decision trees, random forests, support vector machines and ensemble learning techniques.Participants will also study cognitive AI, natural language processing, computer vision and large language models. Additional modules cover chatbots, transformers, sentiment analysis, topic modelling, graph theory and network science applications.No-code AI systems and decision scienceThe programme includes training in no-code AI platforms alongside Python-based learning. Topics include clustering, search ecosystems, agentic AI models and retrieval-augmented generation workflows. Learners will work with industry tools including Python, Tableau, Orange, Excel Solver and LINGO.Decision Science modules cover statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, optimisation models, goal programming and intelligent optimisation methods. Participants will also learn predictive time-series modelling techniques and multi-criteria decision-making frameworks such as ISM, DEMATEL, AHP and TOPSIS.Projects, certification and learning outcomesThe course includes AI and Decision Science capstone projects, along with a case-study-based project requiring business solutions using Python, Excel or LINGO. IIT Delhi states that participants completing programme requirements will receive an e-certificate from the Centre for Continuing Education. The institute has clarified that the programme does not provide campus placements or placement assistance.
