Interview fee for asstt prof recruitment announced

Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced that candidates shortlisted for assistant professor recruitment interviews in aided colleges will be required to pay an interview fee before appearing for the selection process, which begins on Jul 21.According to UPESSC deputy secretary Sanjay Singh, candidates belonging to the Unreserved, OBC and EWS categories will have to pay Rs 800, while SC and ST candidates will be charged Rs 400. The fee can be deposited through challan, QR code or bank slip at the time of the interview.The interviews are being conducted for recruitment to 910 posts of assistant professor across 33 subjects in non-govt aided colleges. The written examination for these posts was held on Apr 18 and 19, and the provisional results were declared on June 9. A total of 3,155 candidates have qualified for the interview round, which will continue until Aug 13.Meanwhile, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Prayagraj, has scheduled the physical efficiency test (PET) for Group D (Level-1) recruitment from Jul 25 to 28 at the DSA Ground near Prayagraj Junction. As many as 3,736 candidates shortlisted in the first phase will compete for 2,020 vacancies in North Central Railway and the Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW).Candidates selected for PET can download their e-call letters and examination guidelines from the Railway Recruitment Cell’s official website from Jul 18. The recruitment drive includes vacancies for track maintainer Grade-IV, pointsman-B, assistant track machine, assistant bridge, assistant signal and telecommunication, assistant loco shed and assistant workshop, among other posts. Across the country, the recruitment aims to fill 32,438 Group D vacancies.
