Jaya Parvati Vrat 2026: Jaya Parvati Vrat is the most significant fast in Hindu religion. This vrat is also known as Gauri Vrat. This festival is celebrated for five consecutive days and during a five-day fast, devotees worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Jaya Parvati Vrat will begin on Trayodashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Ashadha. The fast will begin tomorrow, on July 27, 2026, and it will end on August 1, 2026, on Tritiya Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Shravana. This fast begins from trayodashi tithi of krishna paksha in the month of Ashadha and it will end on tritiya tithi of shukla paksha in the month of Shravana. The puja is performed for five consecutive days. During these days, devotees worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati with full devotion and purity. In Gujrat, unmarried women observe fast for five days and it is mainly observed to pray to Goddess Gauri and seek blessings. If unmarried women maintain this fast with complete devotion and commitment, it is believed that Goddess Parvati would grant their wishes and they will find a suitable life mate. After five days of worshiping Goddess Parvati, they can break their fast on the sixth day with a sattvik meal. While some women follow this fast by consuming just fruits, others prepare their home made sattvik food and drink milk.

1. Get up early in the morning and take a holy bath. 2. To worship the idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, devotees light a diya with desi ghee.3. Offer them with sweets, five fruits (coconut, pomegranate, and Meetha Paan), and flowers.4. Offer Goddess Parvati at least five Shringaar items otherwise 16 shringar items should be presented, including mehendi, haldi, bangles, sarees, and sindoor.5. Unmarried women are required to present sindoor to Goddess Parvati every day and pray to get the suitable life partner for five days.6. With the utmost dedication, chant mantras and aarti.7. One must ask for blessings and offer food, clothing, and dakshina to Brahmins on the last day of Jaya Parvati Vrat.
