In this episode of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’, Gautam tells Nandini to send Karan to him if he needs help. Damini, Nandini and Gayatri tell Gautam this is impossible. Gautam is determined by his condition. Karan asks Gautam for help, and Gautam asks Karan to request him properly. Karan reluctantly requests Gautam to help his son. Gautam finds Karan’s change in behaviour and tone strange.
Gautam’s shocking fees demand
Gautam reminds him about his fees. Karan is ready to pay anything to save his son. Samira tells Gautam he lacks humanity, and Gautam tells her to look at her father’s attitude. Karan brings out the cheque book out of desperation and shows his complete helplessness. Gautam tells Karan he needs Rs 4.5 lakh per month for 12 months. The total comes to ₹54 lakh because paying the rent and handling the case is very hard work for him. Gautam needs 12 post-dated cheques from Karan. Without any hesitation, Karan signs all the cheques and hands them over.
Vaishnavi and Nakul discuss the case
Vaishnavi and Nakul discuss what happened with Rounak. Vaishnavi thinks about how Rounak could have gotten involved in a 3 crore scam. She finds it hard to believe that innocent Rounak could do something so serious. Vaishnavi suggests Nakul tell his father to help Karan in this difficult time. Nakul thinks his father will not help him because of their ongoing conflicts and tension. Vaishnavi tells him it is all about family and reminds him of the values that Tulsi teaches everyone. Nakul reminds Vaishnavi that this family tried to throw her out. Vaishnavi gives the example of Kaki, who is showing humanity through her actions and tells Nakul that Rounak doesn’t deserve to be alone in his suffering. Nakul tells Vaishnavi not to take stress and to stay away from this matter. Vaishnavi tells him she is showing him the way to true humanity and believes that Gautam is the best option to save Rounak.

Rounak’s shock at Gautam’s arrivalRounak gets shocked to see Gautam walking into his place. He tells Gautam to leave immediately and questions his presence. Gautam tells him not to play drama and reminds him he is his lawyer now and his saviour. Gautam warns Rounak not to utter a single word to anyone and tells him his father came to him for help. Gautam shows the cheque signed by Karan and Rounak is completely shocked by this turn of events. He never expected his father to do this. Rounak asks Gautam to promise him a win in the case. He confidently says that he is a professional lawyer and knows how to deal with such cases.
The interrogation begins
Gautam begins to ask Rounak how he got into this matter since time is ticking and they need answers as soon as possible. Rounak informs Gautam that a person is deliberately defaming him. He exposes the individual involved with him in the scam. Gautam is attentive and begins to connect the dots in his mind. He realises this is not a simple case but a conspiracy.
The business rival’s involvement
Karan and Nandini get restless at home waiting for news. Nandini tells Karan that Gautam will take care of Rounak and bring him back. Karan asks for a guarantee and blames Nandini for bringing Gautam into the case. Gautam tells Karan his son is like him. Karan asks him to get to the point and not waste time. Gautam explained attorney-client privilege and asked them to trust him completely. He reveals that Premchand, Karan’s business rival, framed Rounak for the scam. Gautam says Premchand wants to destroy Karan’s family by targeting his innocent son.
Karan’s emotional breakdown
Karan is helpless, and he shares his pain with his lost son Parth. He misses him and wishes he could have saved him from his destiny. Karan starts crying bitterly, remembering all the moments with Parth. Sobha consoles him and tells him he is also her brother. She requests him to eat something, or he will become ill. Karan tells her he cannot eat because his heart is in immense pain. He tells Sobha to understand him as a mother would understand her child’s suffering. Karan admits he has become helpless without Parth and is now worried for Rounak’s future.

Sobha’s words of hopeKaran reminds Sobha that Gautam fought against Pari before and nothing came of it. Sobha tells him to be positive because she believes Gautam will bring Rounak back safely this time. She asks him to trust her and trust Gautam’s abilities. Sobha’s words bring a glimmer of hope to Karan’s broken heart.
