Jhansi: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jhansi, organised a legal literacy and awareness camp on Thursday at Swami Vivekanand Law College to educate participants about the rights and legal entitlements of acid attack survivors.The programme was held under the leadership of District Judge Kamlesh Kachhal and the guidance of DLSA Secretary Isha Tripathi.Speakers at the camp informed students and members of the public about the legal rights of acid attack survivors, the availability of free legal aid, access to medical treatment, and government provisions for compensation and rehabilitation.Addressing the gathering, Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel (LADC) Prateek Samadhiya and mediator advocate Rajneesh Vashishtha emphasised the need to ensure timely justice, medical assistance and rehabilitation for survivors.They said providing effective legal representation and support to victims remains a priority and reiterated the District Legal Services Authority’s commitment to extending free legal assistance to all eligible persons in need.
