Pakistani YouTubers react to Ranbir Kapoor and Yash’s ‘Ramayana’ trailer, praise its scale and VFX: ‘From where is India and Bollywood getting so much money?’

Nitesh Tiwari‘s epic ‘Ramayana‘ has drawn attention beyond India after its trailer released on July 30. Along with fans in India, several Pakistani content creators have shared reactions to the film, praising its scale, casting and visual effects. Let’s take a look at what they have to say about the over four-minute trailer.

Pakistani YouTuber is impressed by ‘Ramayana’s scale

Pakistani content creator Maviya Umer Farooqui shared his reaction to the trailer on Instagram, admitting he was taken aback by the resources invested in the project. He said, “As a Pakistani viewer, I would say Ramayana’s trailer is here, and where is India and Bollywood getting so much money?”Maviya initially referred to the film’s budget as Rs 1,000 crore, praising the visual effects. He added, “Just imagine the film’s budget is Rs 1000 crore, and it can be seen that the film is mounted on such a huge scale. The VFX is so expensive; they have called Hollywood people for VFX.”Though he acknowledged the film’s roots in Indian history and Hindu tradition, he said the trailer worked for him as a viewer, adding, “As a Pakistani, I am saying, ‘main trailer dekhke excited hogaya hoon.'” Several users later corrected the budget in the comments, noting reports place the two-part project’s combined cost at around Rs 4,000 crore.

Ranbir Kapoor and Yash‘s entry scenes draw praise

Maviya was also impressed by the introductions of Ranbir Kapoor and Yash in the trailer, calling it unlike anything attempted in Indian cinema at this scale. He shared, “I don’t think in Indian history there’s ever been a movie mounted on a budget of Rs 1,000 crore in which two films turn blockbuster.” On the visual style, he added, “Aur dekhke lag bhi raha hai, ki kya camera use kiya hai, itna deep trailer banaya hai.” He also predicted the two actors’ performances would be widely discussed, saying, “It will be interesting to see who between Ranbir Kapoor and Yash will win in terms of acting.Another creator, Hasnaat Khan, was particularly struck by Yash’s Ravana. “Ravana looks crazy, dude. What an insane trailer man,” he said, also praising the action sequences: “They did a good job with animations, CGI stuff and stunts. All the visuals are soo good.”

Sai Pallavi‘s Sita Wins Hearts

Sai Pallavi’s portrayal of Sita also earned appreciation. A channel called Pakistani Reaction Boy said, “Ravana and Ranbir Kapoor’s entry were amazing. Sita’s entry was outstanding; she was looking so divine.” The reviewer added, “We will get to see many things that we have missed in Ramayana. Yash’s look was so good. The trailer was amazing.”Another channel, Iman Moazzam Entertainment, highlighted Sai Pallavi’s simplicity, noting, “Sai Pallavi is looking so beautiful as Sita. That simplicity and traditional look is visible,” while also praising the film’s presentation: “Overall VFX is so good and so is the music.”

More about ‘Ramayana’

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Anupam Kher and Vivek Oberoi, with Ranbir Kapoor reportedly playing both Lord Ram and Lord Parshurama. The first instalment of the two-part epic is set to release during Diwali 2026.
