Nashik: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Rajabhau Waje, who has reaffirmed his loyalty to party chief Uddhav Thackeray amid the ongoing political churn, received a grand welcome from the party workers upon his arrival in Nashik on Friday morning.Waje arrived at Nashik Road railway station from Delhi after attending the party’s parliamentary meeting on Thursday. Hundreds of party workers had gathered at the station since early morning to greet him with drum beats, slogans and garlands, turning the arrival into a show of strength.Later, while addressing the reporters, Waje reiterated his commitment to the party and its leadership. “I will remain loyal to the party and UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray,” he said, even as he chose not to elaborate on the reported “Operation Tiger”.Following his arrival, Waje proceeded to his office in the city where he interacted with party workers and urged them to focus on strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level. Later, he left for Mumbai to attend the party’s foundation day programme scheduled for Friday evening.During his visit, Waje also travelled to Sinnar, where he met local party workers before heading for his residence. In a moment that struck an emotional chord among supporters, he sought the blessings of his father (Prakash Waje). As the MP bent down to touch his father’s feet, the latter embraced him, drawing applause from those present.Prakash Waje praised his son’s stand, saying loyalty to the party mattered above all. “I am glad he has kept his word. The party has supported our family over the years, and loyalty is what matters now,” he said.Echoing similar sentiments, the MP credited his upbringing for his stance. “The values instilled in me by my family and the trust shown by the party workers have guided my decision,” Waje added.
