Times News NetworkBhopal: A 19-year-old youth died during treatment five days after he and his friend were seriously injured when their motorcycle crashed into a divider on the Indore-Bhopal Highway under Khajuri police station limits.Police said the accident occurred on the night of May 30, near a private school on the highway. The deceased, Ashish, a resident of Behta village in Bairagarh, worked at a garment shop.According to police, Ashish had gone out for a ride towards Khajuri with three friends on two motorcycles. As they reached near the school, the motorcycle ridden by Ashish allegedly went out of control and rammed into the road divider.Ashish and his friend Harshit Yadav sustained serious injuries in the crash. The two other youths travelling on the second motorcycle, identified as Rajendra and Ashish Meena, rushed them to a private hospital for treatment.Police said Ashish succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Thursday, while Harshit’s condition remains stable.Khajuri police registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem examination before handing it over to the family. Further investigation is underway.
