Former Bigg Boss Malayalam contestant and wife of the late comedian Sudhi, Renu has revealed that she is fighting cancer. In an interview given to the YouTube channel Mainstream One, she shared that she is battling stage four breast cancer. Though there were rumours about her medical condition, this is the first time that Renu has publicly shared an update.“Yes, I have cancer. I thought I shouldn’t be coming in front of the camera and becoming emotional. But it’s time to reveal it. I am fighting breast cancer, and the third stage is almost over. Cancer has spread from my breast to the heart muscle and to the lungs too. For my loved ones and people like me fighting the disease, I wanted to stand as a role model,” she said.Further, Renu shared that she had noticed a lump in her breast at the age of 15 but did not pay proper attention to it.“I had noticed a lump in my breast when I was 15. Then, the doctor told me to pay attention to it as it could become cancerous in the future. Since I had an appendicitis surgery then, I tended to ignore it for fear of pain. It was years later, after Sudhi’s demise, that I noticed a change in shape and consulted the doctor again. The doctor suggested a mammography, and we went for a biopsy. Yes, the result said that I have cancer,” she said in the video.Soon after the video was released, the comments section was filled with messages praying for her speedy recovery.Renu Sudhi is one of the well-known faces on social media. After the demise of her husband, comedian Sudhi, in an accident, Renu gained popularity through her music albums and modelling photoshoots. Recently, Renu entered Bigg Boss Malayalam 7 as a contestant. Though she left the show midway, she managed to win hearts.After the show, Renu was seen keeping busy with stage shows and music videos.
