Television actress Sanchita Ugale died by suicide on June 14. She was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her flat in Nalasopara. Her death has left members of the television industry in shock.Actor Sarwam Kulkarni, who shared a close bond with her and considered her his Rakhi sister, said, “We spoke just a few days ago, and she was telling me about her work. She sounded fine. She had been feeling low some time ago, but had recovered and seemed to be in a much better space. Her death has come as a complete shock, and I still can’t believe it.”Manish Raisinghan, who worked with Sanchita in a vertical drama he produced last year, remembered her as someone full of energy and enthusiasm. “I’m really shocked because Sanchita was incredibly enthusiastic about everything she did. She was fun-loving, bubbly and cheerful. She connected instantly with everyone on the set. You could tell that she genuinely loved her work and her life,” he recalled.Referring to reports that she had been going through a difficult phase, Raisinghan said, “I have been hearing from people that she was not going through a good phase, but I could never gauge that she was troubled. It was never evident from her tone or demeanour.”The investigations are on: Police Senior PI Sujith Kumar Madhukar Pawar of Achole Police Station said, “As per the current status, we have received information from her psychiatrist that she had, in the past, expressed concerns about her work and future. These were some of the things that bothered her. However, she had recently got some projects to work on. The investigations in the case are on.”
