Tom Hardy announces rap album with Czarface and Busta Rhymes for August release amid 'MobLand' controversy
Tom Hardy is set to make his debut as a rapper with upcoming August album. He will be collaborating with the likes of Czarface, EL- O and Busta Rhymes to name a few.

Tom Hardy, best known for his work in ‘Peaky Blinders’ and ‘Venom,’ is all about taking on a completely new persona. The actor recently confirmed that he will make his musical debut as Frankie Pulitzer, a.k.a. Face Puller, and will release a rap album soon.

Tom Hardy to drop first rap album

In collaboration with Czarface, a popular hip-hop supergroup, Tom Hardy will bring back his rap persona, Face Puller, to the main stage. While this is not the first time that the actor has dabbled with rap music, it will be his first official release in years. The actor went viral a few years ago after his 1999 rap mixtape had been leaked online.Billboard reported that he will be working with Czarface, which consists of 7L & Esoteric and Wu-Tang Clan‘s Inspectah Deck. The album’s title has been set to ‘Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer’, and is slated for release on August 28. To announce the release of the album, the group already dropped their lead single from the upcoming album titled ‘Brothers Grimm.’What makes this even more exciting is the fact that some of the collaborations on the album include Busta Rhymes, Method Man, and EL-P (Jaime Meline). This will not be the first time that Hardy and Czarface have collaborated, as the star featured on some of the group’s songs from their ‘Good Guys, Bad Guys’ EP.

About Busta Rhymes and Tom Hardy

Back in 2024, Busta Rhymes and Tom Hardy made headlines after the rapper paid the star a visit on the sets of his movie. Not only that, but he had also shared a post about their meeting online and, at the time, insinuated that they would be working together sometime soon. The caption had read, “I keep telling y’all that blessings don’t, so we won’t ever stop, ever. The incredible Tom Hardy and the Dragon, stay tuned.”Hardy also mentioned that Rhymes is one of his inspirations for the voice he uses for when he is portraying Venom on the big screen. While in conversation with BBC Radio 1, he had stated that “I mix a little bit of Busta Rhymes, a little bit of Method and Redman, a little bit of James Brown, and ever so slightly an element of Richard Burton.”

Tom Hardy’s uncertain stint with ‘MobLand’

The news also comes around the same time as the actor’s uncertain future with ‘MobLand.’ Since last month, there have been reports that the actor has been removed from his lead role in the show as Harry Da Souza, the main fixer for the Harrigan family. Puck reported the news, mentioning that some of the reasons for his being allegedly removed from the show include the fact that he was often late to work, tried to change dialogues, and also clashed with the producers of the show on multiple occasions.
